Get ready, managers, because it’s time to write another chapter of WenDirk Cup history!
Created in collaboration with WenDirk Cast hosts and community OGs Jimbo and Calvinator, this second iteration promises to deliver intense battles and excitement leading up to our Legendary drop.
**New Structure
**In a nod to the growing enthusiasm within our community and with the festive season at hand, the WenDirk Cup will be expanding! This time, 16 teams will battle for the title, doubling the excitement from our previous edition.
🚧 The tournament will be capped to teams with a combined OVR of 850 or under (i.e, the combined OVR rating of the top 11 players signed to the club, irrespective of position, must not exceed 850).
❌ The WenDirk Cup, just like last time, will not feature our newest fatigue mechanism. Which means you don’t need to worry about your players’ energy levels affecting your season run — be it the IMFF Cup or the leagues!
**Group Stage
**The tournament will kick off with a group stage format.
The 16 selected teams will be divided into groups of 4, each team facing the others once. Mark these dates on your calendar — the group stage is set for Saturday and Monday, December 16th and 18th.
Quarter Finals LIVE on the WenDirk Cast Stream
The WenDirk Cast will then take center stage for the Quarter Finals which will be streamed live right before Player Drop #5! Join us for the live broadcast as the top teams clash, vying for the crown. But that’s not all — we want you to join in on the fun with our predictors, one going live 24 hours before the quarters allowing you to forecast the Cup winner and, one during the stream! The reward? MFL Standard Packs!
So, how do you earn a spot? Introducing QUALIFIERS 🔥
To earn a spot in the WenDirk Cup, we’re introducing a new and exciting format — our first ever Qualifier tournaments.
Showing up unpredictably during the next three days, these 10 tournaments will challenge teams to knockout matches. Winners of these quick-fire 8-team knockouts will earn a spot for the WenDirk Cup.
Registrations for the qualifiers can open at any time this week until Thursday. The 8 fastest (valid!) teams to register will be able to participate in each qualifier, and fight for a spot in the WenDirk Cup.
Registrations will close as soon as 8 teams have successfully registered. Each qualifier will kick off shortly thereafter, and the winning team in each qualifier will be granted a spot into the WenDirk Cup.
Do note that only one team per person may be entered to compete in a Qualifier.
