Season 2 is Here!
Season 1 was a blast, and we owe it all to you. From the intense battles across leagues to the electrifying promotion playoffs, the competition reached new heights. We even smashed records for participation, and it’s been incredible seeing your clubs grow, adapt, and dominate.
And to celebrate those achievements, we’ve immortalized all league and IMFF champions in our newly launched Champions Page. Go check it out and find your club’s place in MFL history.
But now, it’s time to Register for Season 2 and get those contracts signed!
Time to Kick Off Season 2 ⚽
Season 2 begins today, and we’ve got an exciting mix of new features, improvements, and tweaks to take MFL to the next level.
🔄 Pre-Contract Agreements Will Return
You’ve already had a taste of the new Pre-Contract Agreements, a feature that lets you plan ahead by locking in players for next season. These agreements will go live again after Matchday 17, giving you plenty of time to prepare for Season 3 while the current one enters its final chapter!
🚀 A New & Improved Match Engine
We’re continuing to refine the match experience, and Season 2 introduces some key upgrades to make the action on the pitch even more realistic:
- Referees now visible: Spot the officials on the pitch as they oversee the action.
- Woodwork drama: Players can now hit the posts and crossbar — more heart-in-mouth (dare I say, butt-clenching?) moments incoming!
- Enhanced behavior: Player movements and decisions have been improved for better realism and flow.
Get ready for matches to feel more immersive than ever before.
📅 Your Season 2 Timeline
To keep things dynamic and predictable, Season 2 will follow our new 6-week season format. With Rollover Day now complete, here are the key dates:
- December 18: Player Pack Drop
- December 25: Leagues Kick Off
- January 8: Midseason Transfer Window & Drop
- January 21–22: IMFF Cup Final & Final League Matchday
- January 24–26: Promotion Playoffs
💰 Introducing Reward Day
From Season 2 onwards, we’re adding a dedicated Reward Day to ensure smoother and more transparent $MFL distribution.
How It Works:
- When: Rewards will be distributed after the last league matchday.
- Snapshot: A snapshot will be taken on Reward Day, capturing the club owners and agents of players under contract at that time.
⚠️Important change: Playoff matches will no longer count toward the minimum matches clause in contracts.
Season 2 is set to deliver even more competition, strategy, and excitement. We can’t wait to see how you navigate the transfer market, battle for trophies, and write the next chapter of MFL history.
