Season 0.4 Wrap-up
As the season 0.4 of MFL wraps up, we’re looking back at a thrilling campaign that has seen its fair share of breathtaking goals and nail-biting finishes. The pitch has been a battleground where strategies were tested, skills were honed, and legends were made!
Let’s take a moment to give a roaring round of applause to the champions who emerged victorious in their respective leagues and cups.
Diamond League
In the Diamond League, the apex of MFL competition, Ballerz FC displayed an undeniable combination of tactical prowess and on-the-pitch flair to clinch the title. Their journey to the summit was by no means an easy one, but they showed impressive resolve and teamwork to make it happen in S0.4.
Titans Cup
While they were just short of defending their League title, the Meta Mercenaries didn’t falter when it came to doing just that in the Titans Cup. They edged League victors Ballerz FC in a thrilling final narrated by your favorite podcast hosts live on Twitch! The inevitable Dirk Claessen had a hand (a foot?) in the win, providing the assist on di Palma’s winning extra-time goal.
Platinum & Gold Divisions
In the Platinum Leagues, we saw Toros de Madrid MFC and Joga Bonito MFC top the standings, showcasing the depth of talent that runs through the MFL ecosystem.
In League 1, the Toros did just enough to keep Naples Goldfeathers at bay during the final sprint. In League 2, Joga Bonito took advantage of a late decline in form from the eventual runners-up Inter Bro’s to claim the title.
Down in Gold, New York City, Pampa Grande MFC, Quito Mercenary Co., and DFC Manchester Hive took home the silverware in their respective Leagues. While Dionysos’ men crushed the opposition — ending 16 points clear of the runners up — it wasn’t such a smooth ride for the other victors. Nonetheless, an impressive display of resolve and adaptability earned them a shiny golden trophy!
Elites Cups
In the IMFF Elites Cup 1, Park Street Maple FC emerged as the champions after defeating Poison Dart MFC in a thrilling final thanks in no small part to Roman Leonov, who, once again, showcased his poaching ability in the dying minutes.
The London Gunners followed in the footsteps of the Mercenaries, setting their sights on the Cup after falling short in their bid to defend their League title. They lift the Elites Cup 2 trophy, showcasing outstanding skill and determination throughout the tournament.
Silver & Bronze Divisions
The season concludes with an incredible array of victors across the Silver and Bronze Divisions.
Well done to Park Street Maple FC, Eko City Royals, Sierra Chicas MFC, GTA Ontario, and Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, MFC Madrid for their sterling performances in the Silver Division. These teams demonstrated skill, strategy, and spirit as they battled their way to the top of their leagues.
In the Bronze Division, we witnessed a dynamic clash of wills and skills as teams vied for supremacy. The champions who emerged, Lucky Cat MFC, Cielo De Montaña MFC, Dynamite Kyiv, Montréal Forest, Club de Fútbol Algiers, MFC Judge, Black Forest Eagles, MFC Dortmund, FC Paris, CSM Tunis, Aguante FC, and Tijuana Terriers, showed just how much heart and hard work goes into each game.
Contenders & Challengers Cups
Turning to the Cup battles, the field was ripe with ambition and the hunger for glory. MFC Lisboa, Verona MFC, and Weavers Guild M.F.C. emerged as the proud bearers of the Contenders Cup title.
Not to be outdone, the Challengers Cup saw Antonucci’s MFC, DFC MisFits Nice, MEKA Squad, and Sausages MFC rise to the occasion. Congratulations!
Iron & Stone Divisions
The Iron Division was a fierce battleground where Novi Sad Goldfeathers, Iroko MFC, D.C. Cherries, Perth MFC, Hague Gryphons MFC, Gabagool, Sausages MFC, MUC Sampdoria, El Patrón, Union MSC, Up Sala Castle, Effigy Oasis MFC, Pioneers MFC, Dublin Athletic, Ragonk Force, Verona MFC, Flow MFC, Cidade Verde, Leon Academy and Kraków Dragons MFC demonstrated the iron will required to reach the summit of success. Each match was a showcase of their relentless pursuit of excellence.
Lastly, the Stone Division was no less competitive, with Pereira Libertador CFM, MFC FORTALEZA CARTAGENA, Los Ángeles del Fútbol, Hard Rock MFC, Riyadh MFC, Knights of Tours, Seine-Saint-Denis 93 MFC, Patagonia FC, Liverpool Meta SC and Arabia FC exemplifying sheer determination and spirit on their way to the title.
Rivals & Aspirants
In the Rivals Cups, Craptors, Tokyo MFC, Massalia Spartans, and Warszawa MFC stood tall against their adversaries, proving their mettle. As for the Aspirants Cups, hats off to Samba MFC, Atlético Espartales, Bologna MFC, and Constanța Balaur MFC for conquering the challenge and seizing the moment.
