🎃From Rapid to Rabid

You’ve may remember Rapid Play — the quick-fire tournaments where the action never stops. This week, something’s changed. The lights flicker, the crowd howls, and every tackle carries a little too much bite.

Welcome to Rabid Play — our Halloween special where the same Rapid Play format gets infected with pure chaos.

The action kicks off on Wednesday at 6pm CET — until Friday!

⚽ The Format

Knockout-only. No groups, no waiting.
Sizes: 8-team and 16-team brackets for paid entry Rabid Play, up to 256 teams for freerolls.
Instant starts: tournaments appear on the competitions page, and as soon as one fills, it launches automatically.
Rounds begin the moment the previous one ends.

⚠️ Entry rules ⚠️

OVR Cap

Rabid Play tournaments only consider the highest OVR player on your entire squad. In order to enter, your highest-rated player must be within a certain range. For example, between 61–65 OVR.
For the paid entry tournaments, there is no range, just a maximum.
These restrictions apply at both registrations and match time (locks 5 mins prior to kick off).
Both conditions consider face OVR only (on the player’s card), and ignore bonuses/positional familiarity.
There will be tournaments in the following bands.
We may add more depending on demand, like a no-limit version!

Other

Max 1 club per owner in any given tournament.
As with all other unofficial competitions and side events, fatigue is disabled and XP/progression is unaffected.
If you’re planning on changing your default tactics for Rabid Play, make sure to use the Upcoming Matches feature in the Tactics page! This allows you to set a tactic ahead of time for specific League and Cup matches — bypassing your default lineup and tactics.

🩸 The Twist — Rage Mode

Fill the bar 📊

Every team in Rabid Play has a rage bar. Fouls and cards fill it up — and as the bar climbs, your players start losing control…

When the bar hits 100% and 200%, a random player on the team becomes rabid.
When they’re rabid, players are faster. And stronger. And taller. And they never tire.

Seeing red 🔴

When they get a red card, players aren’t sent off. No, no. The ref wouldn’t dare. They remain on the pitch and go rabid in a hurry.

🏆Survive and Win

Each Rabid Play tournament rewards you, whether it’s a freeroll or paid entry. The deeper you go, the more you earn.

$MFL, Development Center Passes, even a custom pitch and a special pattern for the Kit Creator… you name it.

📅 When to Play

Rabid Play runs Wednesday — Friday from 6pm CET, with tournaments spawning regularly on the Competitions page.
