More Features, More Competitions: MFL Alpha Season 0.3 is here!
In case you missed it, we recently released a brand new version of our match engine! A HUGE milestone months in the making that improves simulations across the board and lays a solid foundation for the exciting new features to come, like a 2D simulation showing all 22 players on the pitch, advanced team tactics, and much more.
And just like that, we’re back for the third MFL Alpha test season 💪
Plenty of fun in store and new things to test out for our agents and club owners. Check out the details for each of the planned competitions below, and don’t forget to register for the competitions that are already opened.

Season 0.3 Timeline
We have a packed timeline planned for you, with not one, not two, but THREE tournaments punctuating the third league season. Signing players to a contract this season means they’ll be on your team for all of the competitions outlined in this article.

Note an extra transfer window has been added for clubs wanting to make changes to their squads ahead of the season’s final competition!
Pre-Season Tournament
The preseason tournament is fast approaching and registrations are OPEN NOW! Unlike the regular season, the preseason tournament offers a unique experience with no player fatigue and multiple matches each day. It’s the perfect opportunity to test out the new engine before the official competitions kick off.
In this tournament, teams will be divided into tiers of 20 teams each based on the combined overall rating of their 11 highest-rated players under contract. Clubs will then fight for the top two spots in groups of five in each of the tiers.
A winner will be crowned in each of the tiers following a knockout stage between the 8 qualifying teams. The main goal of the tourney is to get familiar with the new engine and have fun doing it, and although a win’s a win, don’t expect shiny trophies for this one. Oh, and it’s winner takes all in each of the tiers this time around 👀
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Contract negotiations will be UNAVAILABLE to participating clubs while the Pre-Season Tournament is taking place.
MFL Season 0.3
With the arrival of MFL Season 0.3, we’re thrilled to welcome the Stone Division to the MFL pyramid. The expansion brings new possibilities and challenges for both players and clubs. We’re working on a new reward structure that incorporates the new division, so stay tuned on that front!

S0.3 League rewards
In a notable change, players under contract at a club that fails to register for the League season will now automatically be freed from their contracts. Its’s only fair, right?
IMFF Cup
The highly anticipated cup competition will still be a part of the season’s action! As is now customary, the International Metaverse Football Federation’s flagship cup competition will take place during League play. Put your subs to the test or manage your starters’ energy levels throughout a demanding season to compete on both fronts! Can you win the double?
We understand the importance of timing and need to rest players for important matchups, so we’re committed to scheduling cup matches during off days in the leagues to minimize scheduling conflicts for our participants whenever possible.
End-of-year tournament
This season will also include a special (festive🎉) tournament to celebrate the end of the calendar year! We’re working on the details to make it a memorable event. We’ll have more for you as we get a little closer to it, but just know that this competition is included in the Season 0.3 contract period!
Player Drops every two weeks
While the first drop saw all Standard, Rare and Legendary player packs getting snapped up, it’s not too late to bolster your agency and grab new recruits! Player packs will be available for purchases in limited quantities every other Tuesday. Here’s the full schedule:
