Not both. One or the other.
The Staff League is a new format launching with the Club Staff feature. You bring in a friend who didn’t play Season 11, register together, and compete in 20-team leagues with 38 matches over 22 days.
It’s collaborative management at high intensity. And it’s got some serious perks.
The Format
2️⃣0️⃣ 20-team leagues
First time we’ve ever run this size. 38 matches packed into the same 22-day season as regular Flint, which means most days you’re playing twice.
That’s a lot of football. Too much for one person to handle perfectly?
Bring some help in — someone on tactics while you manage energy, someone scouting opponents while you handle rotations. This format rewards delegation.
⬜️⬜️ Commons only
And it’s commons-only. Everyone’s working with the same tier of talent, so success comes down to management and coordination.
Why Join a Staff League?
🚀 More Progression
20% boost on Match XP. Your commons progress 20% faster from playing matches than in regular leagues. That’s massive for player development.
⚡️ Promotion to Spark still on the line
You can still promote. It’s harder than regular Flint (between 2.5% and 5% of clubs will promote), but top 4 finishers from each league enter a playoff tournament for promotion spots.

Oh, and if you win the whole playoff tournament? One of your staff members gets a club license for Season 13! 🔥
How To Enter
1️⃣ Have a new or returning user in your staff
You need a staff member who didn’t participate in Season 11 — could be someone new to MFL or someone who played before and stepped away.
2️⃣ Have them register for the Staff League
They register your club for the competition (they need “Manage Competitions” permission).
⚠️ If the staff member who registered leaves before season ends, you’re out of playoff contention. Bring someone who’s truly committed for the whole season!
⚠️ New and returning staff members can only register and participate in a Flint Staff League with ONE club.
The Choice
- Regular Flint: 12-team leagues, 22 matches, standard progression, higher chance to promote.
- Staff League: 20-team leagues, 38 matches, commons-only, +20% Match XP boost, harder to promote, collaborative format.
You choose at registration. Registration opens with Season 12.
