With Season 1 fast approaching, the stakes are reaching new heights. Players will age and develop, clubs will rise or fall through promotion and relegation battles, and every decision will matter more than ever. Now is the perfect moment to bring in bigger rewards.

Expect fiercer competition, higher intensity, and much bigger opportunities for those who excel. This is your chance to push your club to new levels. Let’s explore how we’ve ramped up rewards and what it means for your team.

How We Calculated the New Rewards 💡

We’ve taken a hard look at historical data and made big changes to ensure rewards are worth fighting for AND sustainable. Here’s what we did:

We’ve gathered a wealth of insights from 8 Alpha Seasons, covering every corner of our ecosystem. From the historical value of assets to marketplace activity, and the hundreds of thousands of player contracts signed — we’ve used this data to estimate the cost of building a team in each division. With these insights, we’ve adjusted rewards to better fit the landscape as we head into Season 1.
We’re ensuring the rewards remain slightly deflationary, meaning they’re designed to stabilize the supply of players while keeping our main revenue stream — primary sales — alive and kicking.
Compared to previous seasons, the total reward increase is 5.20x (April 2024 saw a 30% boost, now we’re multiplying by ~4). This means more $MFL will be up for grabs than ever starting from Season 1 🔥

Why It Matters 🌱

We didn’t just boost rewards for the sake of it, and we didn’t throw out a random number — we’ve carefully designed this with sustainability in mind.

As players begin to age and retire in future seasons, deflationary rewards will help slow the introduction of new MFL players, gradually shrinking the overall pool. This should help stabilize player values and keep the economy healthy, while allowing us to continue selling packs, fueling the MFL machine.

Strong performance will give you a real chance to maximize rewards and create value, with the system designed to reward success while keeping the ecosystem healthy.

To give you an idea:

Teams performing reasonably well will be able to use their rewards to keep up with player retirements, making sure they can stay competitive as the seasons go by.
Top performing clubs will typically generate surplus players — with the option to keep them for further squad building or to sell them for profit.

These projections are based on pre-Season 1 insights.

What’s $MFL Anyway? 🪙

$MFL is our internal currency. It’s earned by competing, and while it can’t be traded or converted into cash, it’s your ticket to getting ahead in the game. You can use $MFL to:

Buy new players and strengthen your squad with fresh talent
Send free agent players to the Development Center and watch them blossom
Enter paid tournaments and compete for a share of the prize pool

Distribution Across Competitions🏆

70% of the total $MFL rewards go to league competitions, so your performance throughout the season matters. Plus, Season 1 means your club can get promoted, and therefore access higher rewards the following season.
30% of rewards go to the IMFF Cup, the flagship cup competition in MFL.

This ensures that both long-term consistency and cup glory are rewarded.
